Gazprom: Nord Stream-2 in accordance with plan, EU laws

MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- The implementation of Russia’s Nord Stream-2 project is going in accordance with the plan and in full compliance with the E.U. legislation, a manager at gas giant Gazprom said Thursday in a conference call.

“All works under the project are going in compliance with regulatory acts and legislation of the E.U., and we think this will exclude problems we had during implementation of the Nord Stream project,” the manager said, adding that implementation of the project is going in accordance with the schedule.

The Nord Stream-2 project envisages construction of two lines of a gas pipeline with a capacity of up to 55 billion cubic meters of gas annually, running from the Russian shore to Germany under the Baltic Sea. Russian gas giant Gazprom will hold 50% in the project, while E.ON, BASF, Royal Dutch Shell, and OMV will own 10% each, and Engie will get a 9% stake.
